As part of the “Earth Day” 2026 celebrations, on the very weekend that marked the astronomical arrival of spring, the volunteers of New Acropolis Timisoara reconnected with the natural environment by taking an active part in its well-being. Packed with tens of trash bags, gloves and water-proof gear, together with our friends from “Vertical Adventure”, we hopped in kayaks and set out to clean up the Bega River and its riverbanks. One thing that deeply moved us, on this third participation in this initiative, was the realization of the lasting impact of our actions. We could clearly see how, year after year, the amount of waste decreased significantly. It shows how a small number of big hearts can make a difference!
