Volunteers from New Acropolis Guatemala and invited friends, in collaboration with the ‘Senderos del Alto’ cooperative, organised an ECOTOURISM walk.
A 3 km route from the road leading up to the village of San Cristóbal El Alto, during which we exercised, collected rubbish and had the opportunity to enjoy the views of the city of La Antigua Guatemala, the volcanoes and other communities. We were also welcomed by the community with delicious food and natural refreshments, and we were able to enjoy a botanical garden of medicinal plants and the ‘Vértigo’ extreme games centre.We thank the community for the opportunity to socialise, learn and enjoy an exceptional community tourism experience.
