Philosophy in the Graveyard: The Regrets of the Dying (Chicago, USA)
New Acropolis Chicago hosted a reflective and thought-provoking event the weekend before Halloween at Graceland Cemetery, inviting participants to contemplate life, death, and wisdom. Inspired by Bronnie Ware’s book The Top Five Regrets of the Dying, the talk encouraged attendees to learn from those who have reached life’s final chapter—exploring what they might have done differently and how such insights can inspire the living to lead more meaningful lives. The evening concluded with a guided philosophical walk through the cemetery, where stories, silence, and symbols offered moments of reflection on the mystery and beauty of lives well lived.
