An example of love and overcoming limitation (Yekaterinburg, Russia)

Cultural Activities

On January a unique event took place in the “New Acropolis” of Yekaterinburg — the audiovisual play “The One who created the Miracle”. It was shown by the guests from the “New Acropolis” in Izhevsk.

We learned about two amazing women: Helen Keller, who is deaf and blind, and Ann Sullivan, a talented teacher. After many attempts, the teacher was able to give the student back the opportunity to communicate with the outside world.

Incredibly, Helen Keller later became a writer, lecturer, and advocate for the rights of the disabled. Fortitude, sharpness of mind and greatness of heart. Many prominent people of that time admired these qualities of hers.

This story has become a good illustration of one of the principles of the New Acropolis School of philosophy: the unfolding of inner potentials.

After the performance, there was a friendly conversation between the creators of the play. They shared how the example of these heroic ladies helped them make their choice for the best.

We thank our friends from the “New Acropolis” of Izhevsk for this inspiration that helps in life. After all, each of us can become someone’s support and support. Everyone can reveal the best inside in order to benefit this world.
