Volunteers from New Acropolis Montevideo and Colonia participated in the fourteenth edition of the International Coastal Cleanup Day in Uruguay. The day is organized by the Ministry of Environment with the support of coastal municipalities and more than 80 civil society organizations. In addition to cleaning beaches, the event seeks to raise public awareness of the importance of caring for this ecosystem. A record of the different types of waste found is drawn up, which will be used to generate awareness campaigns for the population.
