The Székesfehérvár branch of New Acropolis Hungary celebrated World Philosophy Day with a workshop on Plato’s Myth of Er of Pamphylia. The event, attracting nearly thirty people, began with a talk that provided an insight into different cultures’ perceptions of the afterlife. Audience members then had the opportunity to write down the most important events in their lives and the lessons they learned from them. While retaining the lessons they acquired, they were able to symbolically free themselves from the burden of what had happened.
In the second half of the event, the participants took part in a playful choice of destiny: they could choose an imaginary life path from among the future destinies offered and share their reasons, too.
