We inaugurated a new Centre of New Acropolis in Portugal. The city of Almada, located on the south bank of the Tagus River, opposite the city of Lisbon, has been the recipient of this new nucleus of philosophical action.

An inaugural lecture was held with the topic: “Stoicism for a new way of being in life“. About thirty people were in attendance at the facilities of the Popular University of Almada, where, afterwards, the New Acropolis program of studies was presented.

Etymologically, the word Almada refers to the concept of the mines from which gold was extracted. We hope, therefore, that the golden light of Philosophy will illuminate more strongly the beautiful banks of the Tagus.
