As part of the program “Discovering our country”, which New Acropolis Peru develops  to promote knowledge and appreciation of Peruvian traditions, around 250 students from more than 20 cities participated in a cultural trip to the city of Huaraz, in the Ancash department of this country.

Surrounded by the beauty of the Cordillera Negra and the Cordillera Blanca, participants embraced the history and the mystery of Chavin de Huantar, ancient pre-Inca ceremonial center that keeps vast architectural, scientific, astronomical and religious knowledge.

They also visited the beautiful lagoon of Llanganuco, situated between the snow-capped Huascaran and Huandoy mountains, whose colors enchant all those who come to it.

Also included was a visit to the New Acropolis Huaraz branch, where volunteers from this city hosted the visitors and presented them with traditional music and dance performances.
