Volunteering at Asha Dan (Mumbai, India)

Cultural Volunteering

Fourteen volunteers from New Acropolis India North visited Asha Dan, a home for destitute and disabled people started by Mother Theresa in Byculla, Mumbai and run by the Sisters of the Missionaries of Charity. The participants conducted a craft session, screened some educational videos and organized a ‘mehendi’ (henna) application session for the girls, well received by the children. At the same time, the event was a good opportunity for the volunteers to learn from these valuable interactions.
