New Acropolis participates in “Welcome Week” for the engineering students of the UFRGS (Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil)

As part of “Welcome Week” – event organized by the School of Engineering and the Institute of Hydraulic Research of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) – for the reception of students from different courses, New Acropolis presented the lecture entitled “The Mathematics of Nature: Bio-inspiration for projects”, in the Noble Hall of the Faculty of Law of the UFRGS. The presenter Professor Flora Detanico spoke about the various lessons which natural patterns bring to the table for a more intelligent and effective creation.

Under the title “The brilliant intelligence of Leonardo da Vinci”, Professor Fabiano Basso gave a lecture at the Institute of Hydraulic Research (HPI), recalling the great teachings of the Italian Renaissance genius. An exhibition featuring his inventions was also featured. Finally, a violin recital closed “Welcome Week”.
