Combat for Harmony! Workshop (Budapest, Hungary)
A lecture titled ’Combat for Harmony’ on the relationship of martial arts and philosophy. The lecturer, himself an active practitioner of Taijutsu, spoke about the birth of the Shaolin Kung Fu. The first work-out plan was compiled by Bodhidharma, the legendary Buddhist monk of Indian origin, in order to improve the concentration and endurance of his disciples so that they could perform meditation practices better.
After the talk various practices were performed in which the participants could themselves experience how a short previous concentration improves the efficiency of a simple martial arts technique.
