“Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance” on World Philosophy Day (Belgrade, Serbia)

World Philosophy Day

New Acropolis Belgrade organized a program of activities to commemorate World Philosophy Day.

The lecture “Renaissance, the model of human awakening”, was based on this remarkable period of the European past, to talk about the laws that we can recognize in the course of history and that can also be applied in the life of the human being; because each one has the possibility of being reborn based on the ‘re-knowledge’ and experience of ethical values. It is this individual re-birth that allows the re-activation of human values in society.

“The Life and Work of Leonardo da Vinci” was the subject of another lecture that introduced us to this great genius of the Renaissance, not only as an artist, but as a scientist, inventor, visionary and philosopher well ahead of his time.

Attendees also participated in a workshop where, using Leonardo’s drawings, they built mockups of some of his inventions.
