Online talk: The Myth of King Arthur and the Holy Grail (Belgrano, Argentina)
The Belgrano branch offered an online talk entitled “The Myth of King Arthur and the Holy Grail”.
Victoria Calle addressed the myth of King Arthur and the Holy Grail – a tale told in the Middle Ages which, in spite of its darkness, has bequeathed a vast compendium of chivalric legends that narrate feats and exploits and continue to inspire with their sense of heroism.
The Myth of King Arthur is one of the most outstanding and complete accounts of the knightly model, full of symbolism and teachings ranging from his birth, his “magic” sword, his master, the wizard Merlin, his 12 brave Knights, justice and honour in his kingdom and the quest for the Holy Grail. In this way the myth connects Celtic tradition, medieval feudal life and Christian tradition through the Holy Grail.
