Appearances: life between reality and illusion in the World Philosophy Day (Catania, Italy)

World Philosophy Day

New Acropolis Catania celebrated World Philosophy Day with two events whose central theme was “Appearances: life between reality and illusion”, a theme that has always been at the centre of human beings’ questions: “Who am I really me?” and “What is Real?”.

On these occasions, philosophical workshops, seminars, a theatrical show and a choral contribution were held which allowed the people present to question themselves on the theme of appearances and reality by retracing the thought of philosophers such as Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, etc., in an engaging and joyful way.
