Symbols East and West – in heaven and on earth (Eger, Hungary)

Promotion of Philosophy

An interactive lecture was held at the Eger Centre of New Acropolis on symbolic thinking, which can help one living in a world of dichotomies to create unity and balance.

After an introduction to the topic, a short journey of self-awareness began, leading through three rooms. In the first room, a henna design was painted on the back of the participants’ hands to represent the spiral path of development or a virtue to be practised.

In the next room, they learned about the symbolic meanings of certain medicinal plants, and in the last room they could try their hand at an ancient Egyptian board game, the Senet.
