A Reproduction of the Papyrus of Ani in the Serbian Capital (Belgrade, Serbia)

Cultural Activities

Over 300 citizens of Belgrade visited the exhibited reproduction of an ancient Egyptian manuscript under the title “The Papyrus of Ani: Going Forth by Day”. The Cultural Association New Acropolis organized the exhibition at its locale from February 5th to February 11th, 2024.

Ten of the association’s members were at visitors’ disposal as guides and led them through the lively 31-meter-long copy of the manuscript printed on a canvas.

The reproduction is the result of years of effort by New Acropolis researchers from several countries. Besides working to remind us of a manuscript that stands among humanity’s most significant cultural heritage, it was their wish for the path traversed by Ani long ago to serve as inspiration for us today.

“Step by step, Ani advances tirelessly, he knows where he is going: toward realizing his destiny” – said the Association’s president Daliborka Kiković. “And to realize the human destiny, if it can be said in a few words, is to make the spark of the sun that we all carry become equal to the whole universe. That is, to transition from awareness of this inner sun to consciousness of the universe’s grand unity. That is the path Ani takes, and I’d venture to say, it’s a journey we all embark upon, even if unaware.”
