IPEARTE Dance Company awarded at PADAM 2025 (Brazil)
The Dance Company of the Pará Institute of Education and Art (IPEARTE) was awarded in three categories at the 2025 Pan-American Amazon Dance Meeting (PADAM) in Brazil. The meeting took place at the Margarida Schivasappa Theater on March 21 and 22.
Under the direction of Camila Mendes, the dancers performed moments of rare beauty, which resulted in awards that crowned their talent and dedication. More than a competition, PADAM was a stage for the power of art: each movement revealed the formative, ethical and sensitive work promoted by the Institute. In addition to the trophies, the young women gained the certainty that art can transform destinies.
Highlights of the awards:
- 1st place in the Classical Ensemble category
- 1st place in Repertoire Ballet Duo
- 2nd place in Contemporary Ensemble
Also on the stage of the Margarida Schivasappa Theater, the Dance Company participated in the 4th Ballet Jackeline Mendes & Friends in April. With the delicate choreography waltz of the roses (Valsa das Rosas), the young artists revealed not only their technique and grace, but also the sensitivity cultivated by art. These performances and awards reinforce IPEARTE’s commitment to developing and transforming human beings through education, using culture, sports and art as great tools for their social contribution.
