Lecture on Coexistence at a municipal school in Palmas (Brazil)
Professor Ana Paula Leobas from New Acropolis gave a special lecture on Coexistence and Union at a meeting of teachers from the Almirante Tamandaré Municipal School in Palmas (TO, Brazil). The invitation came from director Cândida and the event was part of the beginning-of-year pedagogical training.
The inspiring lecture provided deep reflection on the importance of philosophy as a tool for strengthening human bonds. When applied, values improve coexistence inside and outside the classroom.
The approach was based on the humanist thinking promoted by New Acropolis, which defends philosophy as an essential path to human development. “True education is not limited to transmitting information; it must form individuals capable of understanding and transforming the world around them based on ethics, harmonious coexistence and respect for differences,” highlighted the speaker.
Teachers were able to reflect on the challenges of school coexistence and the importance of cultivating an environment of unity. In this environment, learning goes beyond the curriculum and becomes an experience of integral growth for students and educators.
The lecture reinforced the need for initiatives that promote human development, principles that support the work of New Acropolis in several countries.
