New Acropolis honored at Goiânia City Council (Brazil)

Institutional Presence

On April 23, New Acropolis was honored at the Goiânia City Council, Goiás, in celebration of its 41st anniversary in Brazil. The ceremony brought together volunteers, students and representatives of the institution in a moment of recognition and philosophical inspiration.

Since its arrival in the country, New Acropolis has inspired people in several Brazilian cities to live in a more conscious, ethical and supportive way. The tribute in Goiânia reinforces the importance of volunteer work and philosophical education as paths to a more just and harmonious society.

During the ceremony, representatives of New Acropolis highlighted the pillars that support the institution’s work: the search for truth, beauty and justice. Over the course of more than four decades, these ideals have guided countless cultural, social and educational projects, positively impacting thousands of lives.

More than a celebration, the ceremony was also an invitation to reflect. Celebrating the past is reaffirming the commitment to the future, with the purpose of continuing to light in each human being the flame of self-knowledge and responsibility for the world around them.

The ceremony was attended by the volunteer directors of New Acropolis Jardim América, Universitário, Alto da Glória and Cidade Jardim schools: professors Alice Amaral, Carlos Rangel, Lana Cristina Oliveira and Leandro Moraes, respectively, in addition to other members of New Acropolis.

Many of those present shared transformative experiences they have had over the years within New Acropolis. Everyone fondly remembers the challenges they have overcome and the friendships they have built in an environment of constant learning. The tribute inspires a philosophical commitment: the constant search to awaken the best in ourselves and contribute to a better world.
