Workshop: Human symbiosis with nature (Brussels, Belgium)
On the occasion of International Earth Day, New Acropolis Brussels hosted Cynthia Otekele for an inspiring workshop entitled ‘Human Symbiosis with Nature’. The event provided an essential space for reflection on our often forgotten links with the natural world, even amidst the hustle and bustle of Brussels.
Cynthia Otekele, naturopath and president of a Natagora affiliate, led participants through an interactive and philosophical exploration of our place within the living world. The approach, far from being purely theoretical, incorporated games and engaging discussions, which allowed everyone to question their own relationship with Nature.
The workshop highlighted the mutual benefits of these symbioses. By recognising our interdependence with ecosystems, we can not only improve our own well-being, but also actively contribute to the health of the planet. The importance of rediscovering a sense of belonging to a larger whole was a common thread, underlining that unity does not stop at human relationships, but encompasses all living things.
In the spirit of International Earth Day, this workshop was a reminder that the diversity of the natural world is an essential asset to be preserved. By understanding and cultivating our symbiosis with Nature, we work towards a broader and more harmonious unity, in which humans find their rightful place within the global ecosystem.
Cynthia Otekele’s clarity and passion made it possible to address important concepts in an accessible and inspiring way. Participants left with a renewed awareness of their links with Nature and an invitation to cultivate this symbiosis in their daily lives, thus contributing to a more sustainable and caring future.
