Births and Butterflies – The Mysteries of Animal Migration (Chicago, USA)

Mother Earth Day

New Acropolis Chicago, in celebration of Mother’s Day weekend, members of the community gathered to honor the ultimate mother — Earth — through hands-on environmental activities focused on care, creativity, and conservation. Following an exploration of the remarkable journeys of animal migration, participants transformed a neglected patch of pavement into a future flower bed designed to expand butterfly habitat and support local pollinators. The event also featured an upcycling activity where plastic bottles were repurposed into bird feeders, creating welcoming spaces for local birdlife. We discovered that even small actions can make a meaningful impact in protecting and giving back to the planet, inspiring attendees to continue finding new ways to care for Mother Earth.
