Earth Day (Bucharest, Romania)

Mother Earth Day

Celebrating International Earth Day, New Acropolis Bucharest organized several activities to exemplify connection between humans and nature. At the school’s headquarters took place two conferences: one dedicated to the animal world, where participants discovered fascinating details about various species — from bees and dolphins to the enigmatic snailfish dwelling in the ocean’s deepest abysses — and another dedicated to minerals, exploring how they form, how they are identified, and what symbolism they carry across different cultures.

Also, members and volunteers of the association chose to engage with the community: they visited the “Star of Hope” horse shelter, spending time with the animals and feeding them, and planted over 100 black locust saplings in Ilfov County, contributing to the creation of a future forest belt.

All these gestures carry the same message: caring for the Earth means caring for all the living beings and resources we share it with.
