According to Japanese legend, anyone who folds 1,000 origami cranes will have a wish granted. At our Quetzaltenango office, we had the opportunity to display 1,000 cranes made by @aronny_pivaral and @mathketero, who also gave a talk on the history and origins of this tradition; we watched the documentary about Sadako, the girl who started it all with a purpose. In the end, the cranes were given away by the creator, as the tradition continues by presenting the 1,000 cranes to different people as a symbol of hope.
