LebensART – Creative and Sports Week (Upper Styria, Austria)

Cultural Volunteering

For the 20th time, the LebensART Creative and Sports Camp took place in Mathildenheim, Upper Styria. Around 130 participants – members of New Acropolis with families and friends from Austria, Germany, England and Belgium – came together for a week of creativity, movement, learning and community.

The programme combined creativity, philosophy and sport in 14 seminars and activities. Participants explored Dante’s Divine Comedy, discovered the “Dance of the Seasons”, learned Ikebana and practised experiencing and appreciating painting. Horse riding, tennis, table tennis and swimming were also part of the programme.

At the Ascanius Camp, 25 children aged 5 to 14 enjoyed acrobatics, dance, hiking and adventurous activities. At the same time, 25 athletes trained for upcoming competitions.

At the heart of LebensART is the development of the human being as a whole: gymnastics and art cultivate strength and harmony in the body, as well as sensitivity and beauty in the soul. We learn to overcome our limits and develop our potential.

The Creative and Sports Camp is more than a summer camp: a place to step out of everyday life, enjoy encounters, sport, music and inspiration, discover skills, form friendships and grow together.
