Philosophers’ Weekend Retreat (Chicago, USA)

Cultural Volunteering
Members of the Chicago chapter of the New Acropolis School recently gathered in the Wisconsin countryside for an immersive weekend camp designed to bridge classical philosophy ideas with modern daily life.
The weekend camp combined academic study with practical application.
Classes, exercises and group discussions focused on pressing questions, including how to maintain a heroic spirit and act as a responsible citizen. Attendees also explored the practical meaning of living with more consciousness, intention to learn, evolve, and practice philosophy in the modern world.
The practical aspects of the camp were transmitted through presentations, artistic expressions, games and dialogues, as well as physical exercises focused on attention, concentration and communication, nature walks and reflections, which all the participants took part in.
