Poetry recital in honour of Florbela Espanca (Portugal)
To commemorate the birth and death of this great Portuguese poet, described by Fernando Pessoa as his ‘soulmate’, which took place on 8 December 1894 and 1930 respectively, the poetry group bearing her name, part of New Acropolis Lisbon (Portugal), held a poetry recital at the headquarters of New Acropolis Córdoba (Spain), accompanied by a dance performance by Gloria López Godoy and with the collaboration of this association’s poetry group.
The recital concluded with a celebratory dinner for all those present, in a warm atmosphere brimming with enthusiasm for poetry and dance.
This recital formed part of an introductory visit to the beautiful city of Córdoba, where the large group of friends accompanying the Florbela Espanca poetry group were able to admire the city’s character and its most iconic sites, immersing themselves in a millennia-old culture and a surprising local colour brimming with human warmth.
