Visit with New Acropolis International Director (Israel)

Philosophy

“To be a philosopher is to rise above the circumstances of our lives.”

With these inspiring words, Carlos Adelantado Puchal, the International Director of New Acropolis, recently visited Israel to meet with young philosophers from across the country. Over 200 members gathered at our center in Tel Aviv for a special, highly anticipated encounter.

Reflecting on the nature of the path, Carlos noted that the philosophical journey is not easy—nothing of true value in life is. Yet, he reminded the audience that the difficulty does not prevent us from finding joy along the way. “Are not the hardest paths the most beautiful? Truly knowing ourselves requires a great deal of effort, just like anything of worth.”

During the gathering, Carlos answered everyday questions that deeply occupy young seekers, reminding everyone that a life of inquiry, contemplation, and meaning is accessible to us under any circumstances. The evening left participants deeply inspired, reinforcing the idea that philosophy is a practical, living tool to navigate life with purpose and inner strength.
