A street for everyone – Parking Day (Leipzig, Germany)
Parked cars in the streets are part of our familiar cityscape, and yet for a healthy city of the future we need space for encounters, for nature and places to play. As part of a neighborhood initiative, members of the NA Leipzig School occupied five parking spaces to try out alternative ideas for this living space; with chessboard, couch and virtue tree, to use it as a place to meet and have philosophical conversations, to suggest solutions for this time of change and to think together about how a fair balance between all road users can succeed.
