The medical Doctor and philosopher Antonio Alzina gave a lecture entitled ‘The Healing Power of Philosophy’.

A hundred of Montrealers had the chance to attend it. Dr. Alzina explained the link between health and philosophy and, how the two go together to enjoy overall health. Indeed, stress, or more precisely, the accumulation of stress, sometimes due to circular ideas, negatives attitudes towards life, can trigger several diseases.

Philosophy, as a way of self-knowledge and understanding nature helps us to become aware of ourselves and of the power we can have over our existence and our lives. It can help us understand life as it is and solve problems with more ease and calm. It enables us to maintain an overall health of body, soul and mind.
