The Adventure of Consciousness: Concentration and Stability in Adversity (Paris 5, France)
The director of New Acropolis in France, Thierry Adda, gave a lecture at our headquarters in the 5th arrondissement of Paris on the theme of the adventure of consciousness.
Thierry Adda opened the session by reminding us that the greatest adventure is not that of mountain peaks or oceans, but the one that begins when we turn inward. The Greeks called it metanoia: a change of perspective, an inner shift that simply requires us to remain awake. In a world saturated with urgent matters and distractions, this vigilance becomes a form of resistance. It means rejecting distraction, seeing beyond appearances, and deciding for oneself.
This gathering demonstrated that a genuine desire for lucidity still exists. Some forty people came together, not to escape, but to awaken. A small light in the darkness of the present, bright enough to invite us to continue the journey.
