Sacred Art of Mandalas – An Interactive Class (Chicago, USA)
Participants in New Acropolis school in Chicago, USA, came together for an interactive summer class, in which they discussed the meaning behind Mandalas – a geometrical sacred art form that was used in different ancient cultures, such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Native American cultures and more, and in recent years has become a therapeutic art form in different psychological practices.
In the class, participants learned about the origins of Mandalas, their symbology, structure and most importantly, what can we learn from them today.
Participants then had a chance to create their own Mandalas, that were an opportunity to connect to one’s own inner soul, through art and contemplation.
