Foodsaving – Transition needs a practical mind (Germany)
There is no use merely talking about change and the transition towards a better world with sustainability and caring about nature. It also needs a practical mind to get things done.
New Acropolis started a transition project for food-saving. Twice a month, volunteers of NA are collecting boxes full of groceries, mainly vegetables and fruits, which otherwise would end up in the garbage.
Then the groceries are being processed, e.g. into soups or bread spread.
Through this way of saving food we wish to remind ourselves and others of the worthiness of food and to be reflective about overproduction and the benefits of local farming.
