Celebration of Arts Day with a talk on beauty and the golden ratio (Córdoba, Argentina)

Day of Arts

As part of Arts Day 2025, members of New Acropolis Córdoba held an enriching talk entitled: ‘The Golden Ratio: the expression of Beauty in Nature and Art’. The event took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Urban Art and attracted a large and diverse audience interested in exploring the deep connections between beauty, nature and human creativity.

The day began with a reading of the text ‘Before the Throne of Beauty’ by poet and philosopher Khalil Gibran, followed by poems extolling the ideal of beauty, such as ‘To the Divine Proportion’ by Rafael Alberti and ‘Beauty is the Mine, Love is the Diamond’ by Rumi.

During the talk, participants reflected on the golden ratio as a universal pattern present in nature, art, architecture, science and philosophy, which has fascinated thinkers, scientists and artists throughout history.

Finally, it was highlighted how this renewed view of nature inspires us to recognise, in the world around us and within ourselves, a profound harmony that gives meaning, structure and unity to life.
