Sowing Awareness at Academia Argüello (Córdoba, Argentina)
Nature conservation knows no boundaries, and recently, the Urban Forests project by New Acropolis Córdoba had the honor of visiting Academia Argüello, one of the most prestigious educational institutions in our city.
In a day filled with enthusiasm and learning, we shared the importance of our local ecosystem with 6th-grade students. This gathering was more than just a delivery of saplings; it was a true lesson in practical ecology and philosophy applied to environmental stewardship.
Moving beyond textbooks, the students had the opportunity to dive into the world of native flora. During our explanatory talk, we focused on three fundamental pillars:
-
Recognition: Learning to identify the species that are part of our natural identity.
-
Protection: Understanding the vital role native trees play in the ecological balance of our city.
-
Action: The commitment to care for every sapling as a guardian of the future.
As a symbol of this educational partnership, native saplings grown through our project were donated. These small trees represent the hope for a greener city and a youth that is increasingly aware of its responsibility to the planet.
