Mother Earth Day 2025. Experience Diversity – Preserve Nature (Germany)
To mark Earth Day under the motto “Through Diversity to Unity,” several workshops and lectures invited participants in Munich, Stuttgart, Nuremberg and Leipzig to explore the connection between people, nature, and culture.
Clean-up actions
In Munich the day began on the banks of the river Isar, where the gentle sound of the water created a peaceful setting for a collective opening ritual. Participants then joined in a hands-on clean-up action – a mindful and tangible gesture to care for the environment. Colleagues in Nuremberg tackled the green zone next to the historic city wall and freed it from all sorts of litter. They collaborated with other volunteers as did the members of the Leipzig school in a river cleaning action.
Honouring the fruits of Nature
In Stuttgart philosophers of New Acropolis engaged in a joint action with “saved food”. And in Leipzig natural diversity was practised under the guidelines of permaculture.
Dance Workshop – Diversity in Motion
In Munich the Mother Earth Day concluded with a lively dance workshop that celebrated cultural expression through movement. In a spirit of joy and openness, participants learned a traditional dance, sharing rhythm, energy, and a sense of connection that transcended backgrounds.
These and even more workshops created moments of exchange, mindfulness, and insight. They showed how diversity can be a powerful source of unity – in harmony with nature, each other, and ourselves.
